Every project is unique in its own right. Technical requirements, resources and schedules are the variables that need to be managed. The common factor in all projects is the demand for a solid basis. Whether or not a project is successful depends, to a large extent, on the correct approach. For this reason, within the framework of the project support we provide, we place a lot of emphasis on a structured flow in terms of processes and a progression of the following three steps:
Within the scope of the consulting services our aim is gain understanding for the task at hand, to get to know the project participants and to uncover the critical issues involved in connection with the basic realisation of the project.
Service consultation
- Introduction of the investor’s interests
- Exchange regarding the geographical position of the project site
- Explanation of reasons for choosing the project site
- Coordination of the scope of the project and the planned installed capacity
- Introduction of the structured project schedule
- Specification of the course of action
2. Step “Feasibility Study / Concept”
A feasibility study, including an on-site inspection, enables us to determine the project-specific and local conditions. During the development of the concept, technical issues are prepared and coordinated with local authorities, taking into account the realisation of the project later on.
Project preparation services / Feasibility study
- On-site inspection [analysis]
- Technical coordination with authorities/ energy supply/ network providers, etc
- Analysis of the existing infrastructure in the supply area
- Implementation of the site analysis and assessment
- Description of the project location
- Description of the electricity supply
- Analysis of the authorisation process
- Description of the construction site equipment [logistics, safety, storage areas]
- Definition of the infrastructural requirements
- Definition of environmentally relevant aspects of the power station [noise, fire, waste disposal]
- Definition of geological analyses [number of shafts to be drilled, GPS coordinates, requirements in terms of laboratory analyses]
- Specification of the requirements for the arrangement of the drilling shafts
- Description of the installation process [underground construction/drilling, hall construction, technical installations]
- Definition of the climate-related requirements for the KPP
- Development of the refrigeration concept
- Desription of the power plant [working principle, particulars of the mode of action]
- Description of the main technical components [generator, compressor, drive train, control system/regulation]
- Description of the electrotechnical power generation concept from the generator to the
- The customer’s energy feed-in point, under consideration of customer-specific grid conditions [power element, automation and instrumentation technology]
- Compilation of structural documentation [floor plant, cross sections, views]
- Photographic documentation
3. Step “Project Management”
On the basis of a prior feasibility study, we take over the project management for the construction project and coordinate the processes or the respective implementation steps. In this regard, the schedule, risk- and quality management is a fixed component of the service we provide.
Project management services
- Definition and specification of the individual power station-specific process steps
- Specification of the necessary project documentation
- Preparation of a structured project schedule with defined interfaces
- Preparation of a coordinated schedule with all affected parties
- Coordination of the project and schedule plans with all project participants on site and with the units from ROSCH and the investors
- Checking the power station and project-specific plans and documentation for completeness
- Monitoring of the schedule (specification and checking of milestones)
- Requesting and checking of regular status reports from all participants during the project flow
- Quality and risk management
- Regular reporting to the customer
- Regular visits to the construction site in order to check the building progress
- Damage control: Procurement of technical power station components in close coordination with ROSCH and the investors
- Adaptation of the schedule and responsibility in the case of damage
- Coordination of the handover
